Coordinating Service Delivery for Distinct Neighbourhoods

The approach started as a neighbourhood management pilot in South Yarmouth in 2006 seeking a better way to join up services to meet the needs of local residents and empower communities to play an active part. The development of the ‘Comeunity’ programme saw a different way of designing and delivering services in the borough’s most deprived ward, heralding significant outcomes for local residents. The programme won an award for ‘Neighbourhood Renewal Programme with greatest local impact’ in 2009 by the International Journal of Neighbourhood Renewal and the model has since rolled out to other neighbourhoods in the borough.
